Allina Health EMS Quality Assurance/Training/CAD Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Responsible      for designing, instructing and coordinating educational programs for      Communications personnel to include:
  • Ride      Alongs
  • EMD      Certification
  • CPR      certification
  • Regular      continuing education and training opportunities including the Saba      offering administrator
  • New      hire training including:
  • First      two weeks of initial training
  • Call      taker Phone Training
  • Scheduled      Business Radio Training
  • North,      South & Outstate Radio Training
  • Responsible      for development of Quality Assurance goals and timely review of calls      including feedback to personnel regarding:
  • Emergency      call intake and documentation including Medical Priority Dispatch System
  • Scheduled      call intake and documentation
  • General      performance in all areas
  • System      design and primary educator for Communications personnel on CAD system      including:
  • Vendor      liaison with CAD vendor
  • Provide      regular reports on issues and CAD support concerns
  • Work      with Allina IS department to maintain CAD functions and oversee upgrades      to the system
  • Temporarily      perform duties outside of normal classification in the event of an      emergency. This will include being on call or filling a shift in the      center when needed

Qualifications:

  • High      school diploma or equivalent
  • NAED Emergency Medical Dispatch certificate      required 
  • Current      American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification 
  • American      Heart Association CPR Instructor certification a plus
  • Proven      experience in administrative leadership a plus
  • 2      or more years of training experience preferred
  • 2      or more years of Dispatch/EMS/Healthcare experience preferred
  • Curriculum      design experience preferred
  • Coordination      of education preferred

Licensure/Certifications

  • Medical      Terminology
  • NIMS      certification within 6 months of hire
  • EMD-Q      certified ( or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire)

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Full time      position 40 hours per week
  • Day/Evening Position       
  • Weekend      Rotation: Occasional
  • Non-Contract
