Allina Health Emergency Medical Services (AHEMS), with nearly 80,000 ambulance calls each year, is a regional leader in providing state-of-the art emergency and medical transport services. Both emergency and non-emergency medical transportation are provided in seven counties, encompassing nearly 80 Minnesota communities and reaching more than 1,000,000 people.
Identify patient care opportunities for improvement. Develop tracking tools and measures for improvement and report to AHEMS Leadership on regular basis. Assist in determining the parameters needed to be measured for AHEMS care goals
Audit and abstract patient care records to identify trends and to measure progress and improvement opportunities
Work with physicians and managers to develop plans to improve quality of patient care delivered.
Delivery of education to clinicians to improve patient care. Education may be one on one or classroom. Provide on-going educational programs assessment of participants for skill level and needed remediation. Develop new programs to meet Quality Improvement goals. Provide summaries or recommendations to assist in managerial and clinical decision making. Serve as research coordinator for research projects inside and outside of AHEMS.
Associates degree or higher required
Certification as Paramedic
National or Minnesota certified Paramedic with 5 years field experience
3 + years teaching experience, Computer word processing, excel, access knowledge, experience with interpersonal and presentation skills to work with all levels of management and employee workforce
