Please consider volunteering for Chainbreaker 2018 and recruiting any of your friends or colleagues to also join you.
There are many volunteer opportunities for non-medical people too. Look at the link above and make it a family event!
The Medical volunteers are needed for two main jobs:
First Aid Tents
Providing first aid assistance to riders, volunteers and guests at the finish venues and rest stops (approximately 2-4 hour shifts):
Friday, Aug 10 – Opening Ceremony – Blue Cross Blue Shield in Eagan
Saturday, Aug 11 – Finishing Venues:
25 Mile – Hampton, MN
50 Mile – Welch Village
100 Mile – St Olaf College
7 Rest Stops along the route
Sunday, Aug 12 – Finishing Venue:
180 Mile – Excelsior (two-day ride option)
4 Rest Stops along the route
Road Crew – Support and Gear Teams
Road Crew teams patrol various sections of the course supporting riders in their journey. Each Chainbreaker minivan will have a team of two that will circulate throughout the course. One member of each van needs to be a medical volunteer. The second volunteer can be the driver. Time commitment is one or two full days. This is actually a great way to see the entire Chainbreaker event from start to finish. Grab a friend and make it a weekend!
