For the past 8 years Tim works tirelessly as a Lead Paramedic for Sanford Ambulance Thief River Falls. During this time, he has proven to be a deeply compassionate caregiver for our patients, as well as a true team player. He is always ready to help at a moment’s notice.
In addition to working his full time schedule as a Paramedic he also maintains the ambulance fleet, equipment and ensures station maintenance is complete.
He is active in the community and teaches EMS related topics regularly. Each year he teaches:
He also is an instructor for BLS, ACLS, PALS, MN ARMER radio and Emergency vehicle driving instructor for the ambulance crews.
Tim serves on various committees like communications, clinical, and MCI Committees. He still seems to find time to respond to about 75% of all all-page calls.
Tim loves his community and engages in events that make a difference.
In 2021 Tim was the Towards Zero Deaths (TZD) Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Star Award Recipient.
Tim also works with Pennington county Emergency preparedness and assisted with the coordination of the Thief River Falls airport and assists in active shooter drills
Tim is Crossed trained to help in the Sanford Ambulance Bagley location and helps with Bagley Fleet.
When not providing excellent prehospital care or teaching EMS to the people of Thief River Falls Tim is a stepfather of 3 teenage triplets, whom he took on a full father role. Father to a 2-year-old boy and a husband.
Tim is a local bus driver, he enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, anything outdoors and being with this family.
Paramedics are in short supply these days, but we wonder where we would be without Paramedics like Tim.
