Jaymes Feil is an amazing candidate for the “Star of Life” award for the work that he’s put into the EMS profession during his career at Sanford Ambulance.
Jaymes has been a part of our team since 2011 and has taken on numerous challenges since then. He started out as an EMT while completing our paramedic education program. Over several years of service, he assessed, treated, and transported thousands of patients. Jaymes served on several committees, assisted with the education team, and served as an FTO for new employees and a preceptor for EMT and paramedic students.
In 2020, he transitioned to a full-time role in the Sanford Health EMS Education Department. He has taken on the role of EMT Course Coordinator and does an excellent job of transitioning lay people to EMS clinicians. His combination of experience and enthusiasm, as well as a genuine love for EMS, is felt by the students and is reflected in their success. Additionally, with Jaymes’ help, we have secured 3 successive years of SAMHSA Rural EMT Training Grants train several hundred EMTs in rural areas across ND and MN at no cost to those students.
Jaymes’ passion and dedication is a credit to himself and a great benefit to Sanford Ambulance and our region.
