Paul began his EMS career in 1995 as an EMT, obtained his paramedic in 2012 and has an undergraduate degree in biochemistry. Paul has an unmatched passion for teaching and enjoys teaching all levels of EMS provider courses. He works primarily with our External EMS Education department but also assists with internal classes.

He is a champion for his students and shares their successes after testing exams, providing pictures and class information for social media posts when classes are complete. When education slowed down at the beginning of the COVID response, Paul assisted in EMS just-in-time trainings, preparing ambulance crews for the many updates that occurred and ensuring safety by fit-testing employees for N95 masks.

Paul grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and moved to Minnesota. He enjoys planning and conducting medical mission trips.
