Chris Caulkins is respectfully and enthusiastically recommended for the Minnesota Ambulance Association Star of Life Award. Chris’ many contributions, inspiration, and legacy set him as a very highly deserving individual for this prestigious award.
Chris currently works as Training Captain for Allina Health EMS, as a Community Paramedic for Acadia Health in Eau Claire Wisconsin, and is founder of Caulkins Consulting LLC providing educational services, generating statistical reports, and conducting psychological autopsies.
His education includes: EdD Higher Education, Masters of Arts Interdisciplinary research, and multiple other degrees with distinction.
In 1991 Chris worked as EMT at Fischers FD in Indiana. Since then he has worked as a Woodbury Paramedic Firefighter and Emergency Medical Services Coordinator. He worked as Adjunct EMS Faculty and lab assistant at Century College and as an Operations Manager at Allina Health EMS. Chris later became the Program Director at Century College where he retired in 2024.
Chris conducts extensive research in the science of suicide, and presents worldwide on a variety of mental health topics and leads a support group for people bereaved by suicide.
Chris’ impact on students, patients, and providers is impossible to calculate.
