Jenni Kirchner has been an EMT since 2009 and has served as the director of Murray County Ambulance in Slayton since 2011. With a background in social work, she saw EMS as a natural extension of her passion for helping others in their time of need.

Murray County Ambulance, a BLS service, responds to over 550 calls annually, including emergencies and transfers to larger medical centers. As the service’s sole full-time employee, Jenni manages operations, takes calls, handles transfers, and oversees daily administration.

Under her leadership, Murray County Ambulance became Minnesota’s first pilot site for Avel Telemedicine. This program connects EMS providers with remote physicians, nurses, and paramedics at first patient contact, improving care and response times for rural communities.

Outside of EMS, Jenni and her husband, Jason, run Stonegate Apple Orchard, home to over 2,000 apple trees, a gift shop, and fall family activities. In 2024, the Kirchners were honored as the Murray County Farm Family of the Year at Farmfest.

Balancing her dedication to patient care with her role as a devoted mother of four, Jenni is a true leader in both her community and her family.
