It is an honor to nominate Matthew Miron (Matt), Paramedic Manager, for the 2025 Stars of Life Award. Matt started with Allina Health in 2000 as a Wheelchair Driver. Matt’s intrinsic drive to be a leader motivated him to pursue his EMT and became a paramedic in 2006. As a paramedic, he became a field training officer and was promoted to street-level supervisor in 2013.

In 2020, Matt was promoted to Manager of our Interfacility division. Matt oversees four supervisors and 101 staff and is accountable for over 35,000 interfacility patient transports. Matt has had to navigate corporate needs and balance these pressures with a mix of staff that support both 911 operations and interfacility.

Matt’s energy and positive demeanor are infectious. The demands and intricacies of one of the largest health systems can be daunting.  Matt has networked with executive-level leaders, worked to redevelop how we receive ambulance requests through the Epic hospital software and is always looking to improve our efficiencies to serve both our communities and our facilities.

We could not be prouder of his accomplishments in such a short period of time and congratulate him on this deserving honor.
