Eric is retiring from North Memorial Health Ambulance after 48 years of exceptional service to EMS in Minnesota.  Eric took his EMT Class in 1977 in Cass Lake MN.  He immediately went to work as a volunteer for the Walker Ambulance Service.  When North Memorial Health acquired the Walker Ambulance Service in 2007, Eric joined our team as a full time EMT.

As a testament to Eric’s exceptional service with North Memorial Health Ambulance, one of Eric’s long time Paramedic partners made the following statement: “Eric showed up to work every single shift early, with his uniform put together, his haircut high and tight, and he was always professional.  Eric never called in sick.  He was always in a good mood.  Eric was known for his unwavering zest for life, empathy for other people, and out of left field jokes that most of his partners failed to understand, but they laughed anyway because it came from Myhra.  There is not a team member who has worked with Eric as a partner, that can say they worked with anyone more professional or hard working.”

North Memorial Health Ambulance would like to thank Eric Myhra for 48 years of exceptional service to the citizens of Minnesota.  We wish you all the best in your retirement!
