Todd Neumann was born in Emerson, Manitoba, where he grew up on his family’s sugar beet and grain farm. He briefly ran a grain cleaning business but found his true passion in EMS after joining the local volunteer ambulance and fire department in the early 1990s. Inspired by a paramedic friend, Todd knew EMS was his calling.
In 1994, he moved to the U.S. to attend paramedic school in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, while working as an EMT for Crookston Ambulance. In 1997, he married his wife, Kathy, becoming a stepfather to Tyler and Christina. After earning his paramedic certification, Todd worked for Fosston Ambulance before joining Sanford Ambulance in 2000, where he has served for 25 years.
Throughout his career, Todd has been a Field Training Officer, served on various committees, and earned the rank of Sergeant as a Charge Paramedic. His dedication has been recognized with awards including Star of the Year, Preceptor of the Year, Critical Life Saver, and Safe Driving honors.
Todd and his family live on Franklin Lake near Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, with their wire-haired griffon puppy, Inga, and two cats, Zoe and Tia.
