Rising Star in Emergency Medical Services
Steven has been in Emergency Medical Services for almost two years. In that short time, he has fully embraced the attitude of putting patients' needs first. An example of his commitment is that Steven and his partner worked to reunite a patient who required medical care but wished to be with their spouse in their final hours. They ensured the patient received the necessary treatment and then transported them back to their loved one.
Chris, an Operations Supervisor, states, "Steven exemplifies what it means to be an excellent all-around Emergency Medical Technician. He is a team member his peers know they can always count on. Steven's empathy, dedication to putting patients' needs first, and teamwork make him a shining example of a complete EMS clinician."
Steven was born west of the Twin Cities and has lived in Southern Minnesota since he was five. His family has a strong tradition of public service; his father is in law enforcement, and his sister is a 911 dispatcher in South Dakota.
Steven enjoys the outdoors, movies, traveling, and video games outside of work.
Congratulations to Steven on being a Minnesota Star of Life recipient in 2025.
