Below are the dates and locations of the five classes for Skywarn Instructor (aka “train the trainer”).  Please feel free to forward this information so that others can be aware of this opportunity.

Saturday, February 4 (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) in Arden Hills (Ramsey County Public Works Bldg – Marsden Room).

Wednesday, February 8 (9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) in Litchfield (Litchfield Public Library, Community Room).
Thursday, February 9 (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) in Eden Prairie (Hennepin Tech, Rooms H193 and H195).

All of these are listed in the Training and Registration Tracking
(TRT) system through the Minnesota Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM).
To sign up, go here:
https://lapp.dps.state.mn.us/dhsem/HSEM_Training/hsemIndex.asp
If you have never signed up through HSEM before, just click on “first time users only” to get started.

Specific street addresses are listed in the HSEM TRT course description.  The room information for Eden Prairie will soon be added to the TRT.  I will likely also offer a “make-up” class some time later in 2012 for those who could not attend the February classes.

If you know of anyone else who should attend, would be interested, or should be invited, please let them know, and send me a note as well.
Remember that it is best to have somebody who can stand in front of a class and teach in an enjoyable manner, not to mention that they have a decent understanding of storms.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.  Thank you very much.
