This interactive workshop was designed with rural EMS in mind and provides an ideal opportunity for ambulance service professionals to collaborate, learn from one another, and gain valuable insights and strategies to drive excellence in their respective organizations. Who Should Attend? 
This course is open to current and aspiring ambulance service managers and leaders. To ensure a robust discussion, we encourage services of all types and sizes to participate. 

What We'll Cover: 

  • Industry Trends | Catch up on the latest in the industry from a federal and state perspective. We'll touch on balance billing and the GAPB committee, CMS' ground ambulance cost data collection, federal and state legislative efforts, and more. 
  • Ambulance Billing Basics & Financial Strategies | How does an ambulance call get billed, and how long does it take to get reimbursement dollars in the door? What happens when claims are denied, and why are there so many rules? We'll start with the basics of ambulance billing and work our way into financial strategies such as budgeting tips, the role of grants, and share creative ways to stretch dollars as costs continue to outpace reimbursement. 
  • Workforce Recruitment, Retention & Provider Resilience | Share your successes and challenges in workforce management and engage in peer-to-peer learning to in our roundtable discussion. 
  • Regulatory Compliance | Navigate the complexities of regulatory compliance. WE will discuss the regulatory requirements and share best practices for success along with resources and information to strengthen your service. 
  • Medical Direction | Discover the transformative impact an engaged Medical Director can have on your ground ambulance service. This workshop will provide practical strategies for building a strong, collaborative relationship with your medical direction team, enhancing both patient care and team performance.
